This study reveals a significant interest and potential for enhancing public access to information in Ann Arbor to information in Ann Arbor, despite challenges related to trust and accuracy. Below is a summary of recommendations to consider moving forward: 

• Creating tools to teach about and help familiarize residents with GenAI

• Providing clear citations for transparency

• Communicating the source of information is coming from the City website

• Formatting response information in familiar ways, such as bolding keywords, adding citations in the form of links, and reflecting mental models of internet searches

• Prompt residents to ask follow up questions for further clarifications and refined answers
